Manchester United ‘receive’ fresh transfer enquiry for forgotten star Facundo Pellistri
According to a new report, Manchester United have received a fresh transfer enquiry for their forgotten young winger, Facundo Pellistri.
Facundo Pellistri‘s career has been stop, start, then stop again at Manchester United, with Erik ten Hag never quite taking to the player.
Pellistri was signed by United from Uruguayan club Peñarol for a fee estimated to be around £7 million in 2020. United hoped he would develop into a first-team winger over the next few seasons.

It is a career path that has very much been taken by Alejandro Garnacho and is starting to be filled by Amad Diallo, too, leaving little room for Pellistri to develop in the XI. This has led to Pellistri heading out on multiple loans to La Liga, with the player signing for Alaves twice and, most recently, Granada in the 2024 January window.
Now, according to the local Turkish outlet Sabah, Süper Lig side Beşiktaş J.K. have shown an interest in signing him during the upcoming transfer window.
According to the report, Beşiktaş have put in an inquiry to United to see what the conditions would be for a transfer this summer.
They are said to be in the market for a young winger, and Pellistri is one of the names they are assessing ahead of the summer window. Although it is not stated if this would be a permanent transfer or loan deal, the nature of the report suggests it would be a full transfer.
In December last year, Pellistri addressed his lack of game time at the club, explaining that despite the lack of minutes, he will always try his best on the pitch.
“I try my best,” he told club media. “Every time I come on the pitch, every time the manager calls me, I’m ready for helping the team. And I will keep trying to do that, every time that he wants me to play. And every time he needs me, I will be ready to help the team.
“Every match here in the Premier League is tough. I think you can see every game, that [it] is tough, and [against] every team. We have to be focused, and I think the most important part is that we have to pay attention, with the attitude and the belief that we showed, for example, against Liverpool (0-0 Premier League draw in December) recently.”
