“No matter who…” Manchester United send Jadon Sancho strong transfer message
Manchester United have sent Jadon Sancho a strong message as they set his price tag for a transfer away from Old Trafford this summer.
Jadon Sancho has spent the last six months away from Manchester United after his public fall out with Erik ten Hag led to his banishment from all first-team training activities at the beginning of September last season.
Sancho was left out of a squad travelling to face Arsenal, with the Dutch manager explaining that the decision was taken due to poor training performances. However, the English winger retaliated online, releasing a statement claiming that this was a lie.

He was then barred from all first-team activities after he refused to apologise to Ten Hag, and in January, left the club on loan to return to Borussia Dortmund, where he enjoyed a relatively fruitful spell, narrowly missing out on a Champions League medal following a 2-0 defeat against Real Madrid in the final.
Much has been made of what the future holds for the 24-year-old this summer, and according to BBC Sport journalist Simon Stone, United have set a £40 million price tag for Sancho this summer.
Further, he explained that although some had originally speculated that Sancho’s future at the club depended on whether Ten Hag stayed or not, Stone clarified that this is not the case.
“It had been thought Sancho’s Old Trafford future would be linked to Ten Hag’s, with the Dutchman still to discover whether he will get the chance to fulfil the final year of his contract,” Stone wrote.
“However, BBC Sport understands United will look to sell Sancho this summer no matter who the manager is and want £40m for the England international.”
Choosing to make sure Sancho is sold regardless of Ten Hag’s future sends a strong message to the winger,
Further, Stone explained that “Dortmund are keen for Sancho to return next season but are looking for another loan deal”.
