Jadon Sancho sent dig from Man United teammate after Borussia Dortmund loan move

One Manchester United player has sent a sly dig at Jadon Sancho after he left the club to rejoin Borussia Dortmund on a six-month loan move.

Sancho, 23, was exiled from the United squad after a public disagreement with manager Erik ten Hag on his training performance.

The winger was left out of the squad to face Arsenal, and after the game, the Dutchman confirmed that it was because of his training ahead of the tie.

“On his performance on training, we didn’t select him,” replied Ten Hag when asked why Sancho wasn’t involved. “You have to reach the level every day at Manchester United. You can make choices in the front line, so in this game, he wasn’t selected.”

Sancho released a public statement in response to his manager’s words. The 23-year-old said that it was ‘completely untrue’ and he was being made a ‘scapegoat’ at Old Trafford.

After refusing to apologise to the manager, Sancho has been lingering in the academy building at Carrington, and his last game of football came against Nottingham Forest in August.

A return to Dortmund presents Sancho an opportunity to start playing again, whilst his absence will provide a boost for the returning Amad Diallo.

Amad came back into the squad last time out in the Premier League after a five-month spell on the sidelines and looked sharp despite the 2-1 defeat to Forest.

The Ivorian will be eager to impress Ten Hag for the remainder of the season, and without Sancho in the picture, he only has to displace an out-of-form Antony.

And Amad has already seemed to send a sly dig at Sancho after stating that he likes to work with coaches that ensure you ‘train hard’ as he heaps praise on Ten Hag.

“He is a person who wants to work hard; even in training and when you’re going slowly, he calls you over and tells you to go stronger,” Amad told club reporters.

“I like coaches like that, that let you know that you need to train hard. My relationship with him is a good relationship.”
