Erik ten Hag is looking towards Ajax to solve his goal problem at Manchester United amid the development of summer transfer plans.

Manchester United have struggled for goals this season, with Erik ten Hag‘s men finding themselves out of the Champions League and Carabao Cup and sitting eighth in the Premier League table.

Their joint-top scorers, Ramsus Højlund and Scott McTominay, have just six goals each, while star winger Marcus Rashford has just two to his name after scoring 30 last campaign.

One player who has struggled the most, however, is Brazilian winger Antony, whose last goal for either club or country came on 16 April 2023 – 270 days ago.

With this in mind, Ten Hag is said to be looking back to his former club to solve his scoring problems, with the manager “keeping tabs” on his former player, Brian Brobbey.

This is according to the Mirror, who claim that Ten Hag has already started to plan his summer transfer window, with Brobbey, who has scored 12 goals in 24 appearances this season, on the list of potential recruits.

The Dutchman wants a striker as soon as possible, but with United having almost no money to spend in January, this could only be a loan deal – meaning any move for Brobbey would have to wait until the summer.

Brobbey was also linked to United last summer, but no move came to fruition as United targetted both Harry Kane and Rasmus Højlund, eventually signing the latter for £72 million.
