Jadon Sancho has a new transfer priority this summer and it could make things difficult for Manchester United.

Sancho, 24, is destined to depart United in the coming months. His fate was essentially sealed when INEOS made the decision to keep Erik ten Hag.

The Dutch boss exiled Sancho from the first-team squad at Old Trafford last term after he refused to apologise for his social media outburst, in which he accused the manager of making him a scapegoat and lying to the media.

After a positive second half of the season on loan at Borussia Dortmund, the Reds are hoping to receive around £40 million for the winger and have been in contact with a number of clubs.

Sancho’s transfer priority

One of the teams that has reported interest in Sancho is Juventus. Yet, a new report from Italian outlet Calciomercato has suggested that the Serie A is not a move that the player is keen on.

It was explained that Sancho’s agents are working hard to find the best move for their client and that they are evaluating all proposals, but the player’s priority is to stay in the Premier League.

The report added that the 24-year-old’s valuation of £40 million also means that Juventus will face an uphill battle to secure a potential transfer.

United’s problem

This could be an issue for a number of reasons. Firstly, United will likely be wary of giving a player away to a direct rival who they know has huge talent.

However, perhaps more importantly, other clubs have already seen the troubles that Sancho has faced in the Premier League, where the style of play is generally more direct and fast-paced.

This will likely mean that clubs within England would be less willing to match United’s price tag. They know that it’d be a risk to take Sancho in a league where he’s not proven much so far.
