Jadon Sancho new steps revealed as Roma remain interested in Manchester United winger

AS Roma remain interested in Jadon Sancho as his next steps are revealed, he could still stay at Manchester United.

Manchester United have been trying to sell Jadon Sancho for almost two years, but have so far failed despite receiving many offers for the former Manchester City youth player.

He was loaned to Chelsea last season, but Enzo Maresca’s side chose to pay £5 million to send him back to United, rather than £25 million to sign Sancho.

United have maintained the £25 million valuation and came close to selling Sancho to AS Roma earlier in the transfer window, but the Englishman rejected the offer.

Jason Wilcox has continued to receive and accept offers for Sancho, but he remains at Old Trafford with just days left in the transfer window.

Sancho could stay at United

Pete Hall of I Paper Sport has revealed Sancho’s next steps after the winger turned down a move to join Roma after United accepted a £20 million bid.

Despite Sancho’s rejection, Roma are continuing in their push to sign Sancho as the manager said: “Sancho is a possibility, we are a possibility for him. If that is not the case, he’ll stay where he is. He would be a huge boost for us, but we would be an enormous opportunity for him.”

Sancho initially rejected Jose Mourinho’s former side to “pursue other options”, but those other options haven’t come to fruition, and he remains a United player.

I Paper Sport continue to say that Sancho hasn’t ruled out staying at Old Trafford this summer, even without a squad number to his name, as Manuel Ugarte is the current number 25.

United have threatened to use their one-year extension clause in Sancho’s contract so he doesn’t leave on a free transfer next summer.

A sad state of affairs for Sancho

Sancho was once one of the most exciting players at Old Trafford after he joined from Borussia Dortmund in the same summer as Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, United have just been knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Grimsby Town, and Sancho isn’t even a member of the first-team squad.

He had a chance to leave the club and get back to playing football, and he chose to wait and miss out on the beginning of the season.

With just days left in the transfer window, Sancho could remain a United player. And where do we all go from there?
