One of INEOS’ transfer targets for Manchester United in the summer transfer window has publicly stated that he wants to remain at his current club.

According to reports, INEOS are prepared for a complete overhaul of the United squad this summer, with only a handful of players considered as “untouchable” in the market.

This will also mean that the club will be aiming to bring in new talent but will also need to be smart with their money.

In midfield, UtdDistrict understands that Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is a player that the club are looking closely into at this moment. Club scouts have been following him closely for a lengthy period.

Sources have also told UtdDistrict that United scouts are of the belief that the 25-year-old would be a shrewd signing for the midfield at Old Trafford and presents good value for money in the current market.

The Leicester City midfielder helped his team qualify for automatic promotion to the Premier League last week and had a clear message at the club’s end-of-season awards ceremony.

After winning the Players’ Player of the Year award, Dewsbury-Hall said, as per Owynn Palmer-Atkin: “I’ve been at this club since I was 8 years old… I’ve got no intention of leaving.”

However, with the promoted side’s financial troubles, they may be forced to sell the 25-year-old midfielder to generate funds in the summer.

He is also a boyhood United fan who has previously expressed his admiration for his idol, Paul Scholes.

Speaking in 2022 via SportBible, Dewsbury-Hall said: “I just think he [Scholes] was a master. He was someone I looked up to growing up. I was always trying to get little things off him and add them to my game.

“He was always the main man for me. He must have had five or six eyes in his head. Some of the things he used to do, you’d think, ‘How did he see that?’

“Paul Scholes was my idol. It’s always been him, and it always will be. Everything he did was unbelievable. I think he is one of the best midfielders of all time.”
