Erik ten Hag ‘makes decision’ about dropping Bruno Fernandes ahead of Tottenham clash
According to the latest reports, Erik ten Hag has made a decision after Manchester United fans demanded Bruno Fernandes be dropped from the XI.
After a disappointing 1-1 draw with FC Twente in the Europa League, Manchester United are eager to return to Premier League action as they face Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.
Erik ten Hag‘s team has encountered a rocky start to the season, securing just two wins in their first five matches and netting only five goals.

Tottenham have not fared much better, winning two of their opening five games. Both teams are currently level on seven points, with Tottenham holding the edge due to a superior goal difference.
Ten Hag has explained so far this season that he is keen to rotate his players when needed, but some fans have called for Bruno Fernandes to be dropped for the upcoming tie.
Fernandes, who is normally United’s talisman, has put in multiple sub-par performances compared to his usual standard. Against FC Twente, groans could be heard around Old Trafford as the club captain lost the ball on multiple occasions.
The biggest came right towards the end of the game, where, with the tie poised at 1-1, Fernandes chose to shoot a free-kick from 30 yards instead of playing a ball into Harry Maguire. His shot was easily saved, and the referee called for full-time moments later.
However, according to new information from GiveMeSport, Ten Hag has decided against giving into calls to drop Fernandes as United play Spurs on Sunday afternoon.
According to the report, sources close to the club have said it is “unlikely” that Fernandes will find himself on the bench as United line up against Ange Postecoglu’s side.
When asked if he feels Fernandes looks tired, Ten Hag told reporters this week: “I think the team brings him in a situation. I think he is capable and he has proven already, so many times in the Premier League, he can create many chances.
“I am convinced he will not do differently. He will come on this point, he will find his form. He is already creating chances but he will make final passes, he will score goals. One hundred per cent and it is just a matter of time.”
