Erik ten Hag has provided fans with fresh updates on multiple Manchester United players as they prepare to face Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

However, some players are now nearing their return, with the latest team news detailed below.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Bayern clash, Ten Hag explained that there might be an extra player available, but it is more likely that the club will see familiar faces ahead of the weekend’s trip to Burnley.
“Maybe, maybe one player, but I think Munich is a little bit too short,” he explained to reporters. “But I think, when we go to Burnley in the week after, I think players will return, yes.”
Further to this, he explained that both Mason Mount and Raphaël Varane are close to returning: “Both are in a good place,” he said. “They are shortly coming [towards] a return.” Mount and Varane were both spotted in training on Tuesday morning.
Aside from this, United will continue to be without Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Amad, and Kobbie Mainoo – all four players are set to continue to stay on the sidelines.
Both Jadon Sancho and Antony remain away from the team due to off-field problems, while there is no update on new signing Sofyan Amrabat beyond the news that he did not feature against Brighton.
