Manchester United pair tipped to “bring something special” to Erik ten Hag
Manchester United are in desperate need of defensive reinforcement after Brighton tore Erik ten Hag’s team apart at Old Trafford.
With Sofyan Amrabat arriving at the club on deadline day, Manchester United are waiting for his fitness to be clarified.
He had to withdraw from the Morocco national team with a minor problem but was unavailable for Erik ten Hag‘s Brighton selection.

Once he becomes available, he will no doubt be used as extra reinforcement in the midfield, likely playing alongside Casemiro to help secure the midfield – and this is a partnership that is exciting former United striker, Louis Saha.
“I really like the profile of the player and we may look at Sofyan as just a defensive midfielder, but he’s capable of bombing forward, creating chances, recovering the ball and he can disrupt the opposition’s attack as much as Casemiro can do,” Saha told BetFred.
“It will be interesting to see how the pair of them play together. The addition of Sofyan means that Manchester United can plug some of the gaps in their midfield and he will bring something special to the team, as well as his leadership credentials.
“I expected another one or two, but this signing is a great one for Manchester United.”
Manchester United will be taking on Bayern Munich in Germany to open their Champions League campaign for the season.
