Current Manchester United XI vs Everton considering Erik ten Hag’s fresh injury concern
Manchester United are yet to find themselves out of the woods after Erik ten Hag suffered more injury doubts during this week’s international break.
Erik ten Hag currently has an injury list of eight confirmed absences and two further current doubts, with Manchester United heading into the fourth month of their injury crisis.
Three players are currently suffering from knee problems in Tyrell Malacia, Amad Diallo, and Christian Eriksen, while Luke Shaw and Lisandro Martínez continue their long layoffs. Martínez is not expected to be fit until the new year.
Casemiro, Jonny Evans, and Rasmus Højlund all also suffered injuries ahead of the international break, with the latter being substituted in the final minutes of United’s win over Luton Town due to a leg muscle problem.

And now, during the international break, both Marcus Rashford and Andrè Onana suffered injury blows for England and Cameroon respectively.
Fortunately, after Rashford was initially substituted due to a collision with Liveprool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold during England’s 2-0 win over Malta, he has since been spotted in England training and is therefore presumed to be fit to play once again.
Andrè Onana, Ten Hag’s new no. 1 goalkeeper, had to be helped off in the 80th minute by physios as Cameroon defeated Mauritius 3-0 on the same evening with a hip abductor problem, and the Cameroon FA have confirmed that he will not feature against Lybia. This could lead to Altay Bayındır making his debut for the club.
Ten Hag next fields his team as United take on Everton at Goodison Park in the Premier League, a week after the Merseyside club were handed a 10-point deduction in the competition for breaking financial fair play regulations.
Considering the injuries above, this is the best XI that Ten Hag would be able to field for the tie:
Bayındır, Dalot, Maguire, Lindelöf/Varane, Dalot, McTominay, Mount, Fernandes, Antony, Martial, Rashford.
