Bruno Fernandes is at risk of being suspended as Manchester United gear up for a huge Old Trafford clash against Liverpool in the Premier League.

Manchester United‘s last fixture is one for the history books as Amad Diallo scored an FA Cup winner in a 4-3 thriller against Liverpool at Old Trafford two weeks ago.

It was a fixture that some earmark as a potential turning point for Erik ten Hag, with the game demonstrating that his players are still firmly behind him as club manager, despite recent rumours.

Bruno Fernandes has been crucial for Ten Hag this season, being one of the few players who have not missed fixtures due to injuries. However, he is at risk of missing the Premier League game against Liverpool next weekend due to suspension.

Fernandes has eight yellow cards in the Premier League this season, and if he receives two more against Brentford and Chelsea in the next six days, he will be suspended for the tie at Old Trafford next Sunday.

Fernandes is known for having a rather hot head at times and receiving bookings for complaining to or at referees, which means two yellow cards in two big fixtures is not out of the question.

United travel to London on Saturday evening for their fixture aginst Brentford before kicking off in the capital city just five days later as they are entertained by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

These two fixtures, and the one against Liverpool, represent a huge chance for Erik ten Hag and his men to show that they mean business as they look to fight for Champions League spaces and FA Cup glory in what is left of the season.
