Martial has been a player of brilliance but inconsistency, having fantastic goalscoring campaigns mixed in with entire seasons out of form, and under Ten Hag, he has had injury after injury, preventing him from playing and ultimately seeing him phased out of the team.
Now, according to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Martial is interesting La Liga side Barcelona as a potential player they can sign this summer.
Martial is of interest mainly because this summer, he will be a free agent. United will not activate the one-year extension in his contract and will release him on 30 June.
Martial is one of three players that Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot and Guido Rodríguez, the midfielder from Real Betis.
These three players have targeted these players as they are said to be a low-cost option that could “improve their performance in national and international competitions”.
