Anthony Martial rivalling Wout Weghorst for January transfer with club meeting planned
Anthony Martial is almost certainly on his way out of Manchester United, with the player’s contract set to expire at the end of this season.
Anthony Martial has missed 29 Manchester United fixtures through injury across the last two seasons, with the player having been demoted to a secondary striker role under Erik ten Hag, behind Rasmus Højlund.
In what has been a torrid few years for the striker at Old Trafford, he has scored just 13 goals in the last three seasons and looks to be on his way out of the club this season.

It has already been revealed that United do not plan to extend Anthony Martial’s contract beyond this summer, but now it looks as if he may leave in January, having planned a meeting with Fenerbahçe SK.
This is according to Dirilis Postasi, who explains that the French striker has been added to a list of potential transfers in the coming weeks.
Also on that list is Wout Weghorst, a striker that United fans know well after the player spent five months on loan at Old Trafford, winning the Carabao Cup and scoring two goals. He assisted Marcus Rashford in the Carabao Cup final.
As translated by Sport Witness, Fenerbahçe board member Selahattin Baki “will have a meeting with” Anthony Martial to discuss a potential move to Istanbul in January, but any transfer will depend on the “financial conditions” of the player.
Weghorst is currently on loan at Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim, where he has scored four goals from 14 appearances, from his parent club Burnley.
Manchester United have had previous dealings with Fenerbahçe, having sold Brazilian midfielder Fred to the Turkish club for £13 million in the summer.
