One Premier League player’s agent has stated that Manchester United are “officially” in the race to sign his client in the summer.

Manchester United are gearing up for a busy summer transfer window as Ruben Amorim plans to refresh his squad.

While the Portuguese manager is keen to secure quality reinforcements, the club will also prioritise making key sales.

With several players underperforming, United intend to streamline the squad and raise funds to maximise their transfer budget.

Reports indicate that the club has already drawn up a four-man shortlist of priority signings, alongside plans to offload multiple players when the season ends.

Agent says United have entered race for Semenyo

A fresh report by Africa Foot says United are in behind-the-scenes talks to sign Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo, with the information said to come from the player’s agent.

It was stated that Semenyo has emerged as one of Amorim’s key targets for the summer transfer window, with United keen to strengthen their attacking options.

Further details in the report explained that the Reds have officially joined the race for the 25-year-old and are discreetly working on a deal.

United are reportedly prepared to submit a £33.5 million offer, though their Premier League rivals are holding out for just over £40 million.

Finally, it is claimed that United are considering offering Semenyo a five-year contract with an option for a further year.

Semenyo one of many forwards United interested in

Semenyo has been a key player for high-flying Bournemouth this season, currently with nine goals and five assists in all competitions.

The Ghana international has shared his minutes between the right and left flank under Andoni Iraola and could be an option on either flank for United.

He is one of many forward players United are reportedly interested in ahead of the summer window, with Jason Wilcox also reportedly looking to sign Southampton starlet Tyler Dibling.
