Manchester United currently have six first-team players injured as they head into the first international break of the season.

The Reds have had a mixed start to the new campaign, with just one Premier League win in the opening three games.

An embarrassing 3-0 defeat against rivals Liverpool came after Brighton delivered a last-minute sucker punch last weekend.

Victory against Fulham on the opening week of fixtures showed some positives, but Erik ten Hag’s side still has much work to do.

Heading into the international break, United could be close to getting some of their injured players back to action, which would boost the side.

UtdDistrict have the latest on all six of United’s injured players right now.

Leny Yoro

Leny Yoro joined the club in the summer from Lille and many were excited to see him in action due to the club beating Real Madrid for his signing.

Unfortunately, he suffered a serious foot injury in pre-season and has since had successful surgery on the issue.

Spotted at Old Trafford on Sunday, the teenager is still using crutches and will be out of action for at least two more months, with the defender then needing to get back to fitness on the training pitch.

Potential return: November

Rasmus Højlund

Rasmus Højlund got injured in the same pre-season game as Yoro as he pulled up with a hamstring issue.

The Danish forward was spotted back in individual training last week and could return to the squad when the club returns to Premier League action after the international break.

Potential return: Southampton (A), September 14

Luke Shaw

Luke Shaw was unable to start the season despite playing for England at Euro 2024 in the summer due to an injury sustained once he returned for pre-season.

Heavily criticised for his fitness, Shaw is set to return to the fold once the international break ends and must prove he can stay in the team now.

Potential return: Southampton (A), September 14

Mason Mount

Mason Mount started the season well. He was in the lineup for United’s first three games of the campaign but was substituted against Brighton due to an injury.

It was later confirmed that he suffered a hamstring injury that would sideline him for around four to five weeks in a major setback for the midfielder who spent all of last season dealing with injury problems.

Potential return: Early/Mid-October

Victor Lindelöf

Victor Lindelöf got injured in pre-season, but not much was made of the issue until his wife uploaded a picture of him using crutches last week.

It was then confirmed that he has a toe injury, which seems like it would not take too long to heal, but there is no news on his potential return.

Potential return: Unknown

Tyrell Malacia

Tyrell Malacia has been unavailable for over a year now but was spotted with the ball at his feet at Carrington recently.

After a torrid time out following a serious knee injury, it seems like the Dutch left-back is approaching the end of his time on the sidelines, but United will certainly be taking the final steps of his recovery carefully, and there’s no indication when he can return to the team.

Potential return: Unknown
