Who Manchester United could face in the 2023/24 Champions League group stage
Manchester United have secured their place in the 2023/24 Champions League alongside Manchester City, Arsenal and Newcastle United.
Erik ten Hag’s side confirmed their position in the top four of the Premier League with a comfortable 4-1 win against Chelsea on Thursday evening.
That means United will be able to have a comfortable last day against Fulham at Old Trafford ahead of their FA Cup final clash against City next weekend.

Following a season outside of the European elite competition, The Reds will be eager to test themselves against the top clubs across the continent yet again next term.
When Old Trafford last hosted Champions League football, in 2021/22, they topped Group F which included Villarreal, Atalanta and Young Boys.
The group stages of the competition are decided by choosing four teams from different pots based on each club’s coefficient rankings. These are based on the results in the most recent five seasons of UEFA competition.
Whilst the exact lineups are yet to be confirmed, with many domestic leagues still ongoing, there are also many teams that have secured their qualification for the competition next season.
So it is possible to out which pot those clubs could be placed in to see the potential opponents for United in the group stage of the competition.
The potential Champions League seeding as things stand
Teams in bold are confirmed for their respective pots regardless of other factors. The rest are subject to change.
Pot 1: Manchester City, Barcelona, Napoli,Bayern Munich, Benfica, PSG, Feyenoord or Inter (depending on Champions League final result), Roma or Sevilla (depending on Europa League final result)
Pot 2: Real Madrid, Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid, RB Leipzig, Porto, Inter or Arsenal (depending on Champions League final result)
Pot 3: Arsenal or Feyenoord (depending on Champions League final result), Shakhtar, RB Salzburg, Lazio, Red Star Belgrade. Potential inclusions via the qualifying stages include Dinamo Zagreb, Rangers and Braga
Pot 4: Celtic, Newcastle United, Real Sociedad, Union Berlin, Lens. Potential inclusions via the qualifying stages include Galatasaray and Young Boys
