With the last Premier League season one of the most intense in recent decades, the fixture list for the upcoming 2023/24 campaign is due to be released in just a few days.

Manchester United finished the last Premier League campaign in third place, with Erik ten Hag guiding his squad back into the Champions League positions during his maiden season in charge.

It was a season that saw some serious highs combined with some deep lows in an emotional campaign that reconnected the club with its brilliant set of fans.

The 2023/24 season is due to kick off in mid-August. Here is everything you need to know about the fixture list.

When will it be released?

The 2023/24 fixture list is due to be released on Thursday 15 June at 09:00 BST.

It will show all 380 Premier League fixtures due to take place from the opening weekend right up until the final day of the season.

What else do I need to know?

It is important to know that although the fixture list does show which games are due to commence on which game week, it does not show what times these games will kick off.

The kick-off times each of game-week are yet to be decided, as once the fixture list is released, the TV broadcasters will then have a significant impact on what games kick off at which time.

A mid-season break is set to occur during 13-20 January 2024, with the coming season consisting of 34 weekends, three-midweek rounds, and one Bank Holiday match round.

When does the Premier League season start and finish?

The opening fixture of the Premier League season is due to kick off on Saturday 12 August 2023.

The final fixtures of the season are due to kick off simultaneously on Sunday 19 May 2024.

These days represent a return to the normal Premier League pre-COVID schedule after the last few seasons were disrupted by both the pandemic and the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

Who are the new teams?

As always, this season will see three new teams promoted from last season’s Championship campaign who will replace the three Premier League teams who finished in the bottom three in 2022/23.

With Leicester City, Leeds United, and Southampton all dropping down, they will be replaced by Burnley, Sheffield United and Luton Town.
