What Sir Alex Ferguson and Robin van Persie discussed during Man United vs West Ham
Robin van Persie was present for Manchester United’s 3-0 win over West Ham on the weekend and was pictured alongside former manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
Van Persie, 40, is often a visitor at Old Trafford, and despite only spending three years with the club, his heroics during the 2012/13 campaign means the Dutchman is regularly lauded by United fans.

The former Arsenal striker moved to Sir Alex Ferguson’s side at the start of that season and led the team to their most recent Premier League title.
Following United’s win on Sunday, the official X account of the club uploaded an image of Van Persie alongside the legendary manager.
The 40-year-old responded to the post and revealed that Ferguson had offered coaching advice to his former striker when they were together at Old Trafford.
“Wonderful to catch up with you, Sir Alex,” the Dutchman wrote. “[I] appreciate your coaching tips.”
Van Persie is currently a youth coach at former club Feyenoord and is going to be at Carrington this week to complete a mandatory element of his UEFA Pro Licence.
As part of his course within the Dutch FA, the former striker is required to spend time at an international club, and with Erik ten Hag’s blessing, he has returned to United to spend time with the first time.
The Premier League winner will observe first-team sessions and conduct workshops with members of staff, alongside two other coaches from the Netherlands, Ruben de Uil and Tim Bakens.
