David de Gea’s celebrations in front of the Leeds United supporters were caught on camera in Manchester United’s win at Elland Road on Sunday afternoon.

De Gea, 32, made his 400th Premier League appearance on the day and, with the help of goals from Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho, he was able to celebrate it in style.

The United goalkeeper is known for his fist-pumping celebrations with the home fans behind either goal at Old Trafford, a trademark that the supporters love.

However, the reception he received when he turned and did similar in front of the stand full of the Leeds crowd on the weekend after Garnacho doubled United’s lead, was terrific.

The teenager’s thunderous strike prompted the Spaniard to turn towards his own goal and throw a number of fist-pumps to the dissatisfaction of the home support.

Boos and explicit words were thrown toward the no.1, who was not bothered whatsoever as he collected a clean sheet and three points.

The video can be seen below:

Speaking on the game, De Gea was delighted with the result, “It’s unbelievable,” he told club media. “Today was not about the 400 games, today was about winning,” he said. “But, we won the game and [with reaching] 400 games for me, it’s a perfect day.

“We knew with the first goal, keeping a clean sheet and scoring the first goal would be massive for us. A perfect cross from Luke Shaw, who is playing really well. And Rashy [Marcus Rashford] is on fire. A lot of goals, helping the team, running, pressing. I think he is playing at the top level.

“[It was a] massive, massive goal for us and after that, I think we controlled the game. We score another couple of goals. So, [it was a] perfect day.

“I made a couple of good saves and then the team scored a great goal. The atmosphere here, with the fans was amazing, so [it was] a special win and I am so, so happy.”
