The return of Alejandro Garnacho may boost Manchester United as they travel to face West Ham in the Premier League.

Manchester United will be looking to end their barren run of form away from home as they travel to East London to take on West Ham United.

Their previous three away fixtures have seen them lose 3-0 to Sevilla in Spain, before throwing away a two-goal lead in a 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur and losing in the dying moments away against Brighton.

Away form has been a crux of Erik ten Hag‘s first season in charge of the club, with the fixture against West Ham coming at a perfect time to break their current lack of wins on the road.

The latest team news for both sides can be found below.

While there are no fresh injury concerns for Ten Hag’s Reds, the Dutchman has hinted at the possible return of young winger Alejandro Garnacho to the matchday squad.

“No, I think it will be the same squad,” Ten Hag replied when asked about the latest team news on Thursday evening. “Maybe one player [to add]: Garnacho. I have to see.

“Maybe he can be involved but we will have to see how the progress can go.”

United will continue to be without trio Scott McTominay, Lisandro Martinez, and Donny van de Beek, with the latter two ruled out for the season and McTominay yet to have a return date set.

The club, however, are hopeful that Raphael Varane will be able to return soon.

It has been said that although the West Ham game comes too soon for the French central defender, they are cautiously optimistic that Varane can return for the Wolves fixture next Saturday.

The hosts of the fixture are expected to welcome trio Nayef Aguerd, Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek back after illness.

Striker Gianluca Scamacca and centre-back Kurt Zouma will be missing for the tie, while right-back Vladimir Coufal is a doubt with a hamstring issue.
