Manchester United fall out of the Europa League after an embarrassing result and performance against Sevilla in Spain.

Three awful goals to concede meant that Erik ten Hag’s side lost 5-2 on aggregate after the 2-2 draw at Old Trafford last week.

The United player ratings can be read below:

David de Gea – 2/10

Had a hand in all three goals. For the opposition. One of his worst performances of the season, and he has reportedly rejected a £200,000-a-week contract… wow.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 4/10

Dropped off from his recent standards and lucky that VAR ruled a goal out for offside.

Harry Maguire – 2/10

Amateur mistake to not scan his surroundings when receiving the pass from De Gea. Poor overall performance.

Victor Lindelof – 4/10

Defensively fragile in moments and not enough passes forward.

Diogo Dalot – 4/10

Not enough in possession in the inverted role.

Casemiro – 4/10

It looks like the Brazilian has been scared to get sent off since returning from suspension. A lack of urgency and tenacity which makes him so good usually.

Christian Eriksen – 3/10

The Dane couldn’t get enough control in the middle. Missed having Bruno Fernandes to link up with.

Antony – 6/10

The only United player that can hold their head high after the game. Decent performance and maximum effort.

Marcel Sabitzer – 3/10

Poor in possession and not enough quality in the forward areas.

Jadon Sancho – 2/10

Poor again. Replaced at the break.

Anthony Martial – 4/10

Rarely involved and picked up an injury. Not encouraging for his future at the club.

Substitutes

Luke Shaw – 4/10

Not enough impact and looked to pick up a knock. Worrying.

Marcus Rashford – 4/10

No real impact.

Wout Weghorst – 4/10

Poor again.

Fred – /10

Average.

Anthony Elanga – N/A
