Three Manchester United players have been slammed for their ‘poor’ moments in the second half against Luton Town on Sunday night.

The Reds were able to take three points from the game but after going 2-0 after five minutes, they made it way more difficult than it needed to be.

Rasmus Højlund’s double could’ve been added to several times in the second half. Erik ten Hag’s side continued to create chances one-on-one with the goalkeeper.

In particular, Diogo Dalot, Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes were all found in brilliant positions to score but fluffed their lines in similar ways.

Former Premier League defender Danny Gabbidon believed that those ‘poor’ moments were United’s chances to kill off the game against a Luton side who performed well once again.

He told BBC Radio 5 Live: “United have had so many opportunities on the counterattack to kill this game off. It’s just been poor decision and the goalkeeper has made some good saves.

“The three points are the key. Man United knew it was going to be difficult and Luton threw everything at them. They had a lot of chances in the second half to make things more comfortable.

I’ve got to say, what a great performance from Luton again. They are great to watch.”

United now move within three points of Tottenham Hotspur in fifth place in the Premier League.

They stay five points within Aston Villa, who leapfrogged Spurs into the top four this weekend.
