Fabrizio Romano has clarified the truth surrounding the future of Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee.

Manchester United’s results under Ruben Amorim have been inconsistent, with just four wins in his first 10 matches, underscoring the challenges he faces at Old Trafford.

While some players have flourished under Amorim’s system, others have struggled to adapt. It is evident that the 39-year-old will need reinforcements to fully implement his ideas.

Summer signing Joshua Zirkzee is among the players yet to impress under Amorim after his opening 10 games in charge.

With four goals and two assists in 26 appearances this season, Zirkzee’s form has already raised questions about his long-term future at the club.

Romano reveals Zirkzee truth

There have been so many rumours flying around about the 23-year-old forward in recent months, particularly linking him with a move to Juventus.

That would see him be reunited with Thiago Motta, the manager who helped Zirkzee thrive during his time at Bologna.

Fabrizio Romano has clarified that Motta and Juventus are ‘closely monitoring’ the situation of Zirkzee at Old Trafford.

“Many links are also in the press about Joshua Zirkzee,” the Italian journalist wrote in his GiveMeSport column.

“The truth is that Italian clubs, especially Juventus where his former coach Thiago Motta is in charge, are closely monitoring his situation at Man United.”

Why do so many signings struggle at United?

If he was to leave the club next month, Zirkzee would end up having one of the shortest United spells in recent memory.

While the forward has not impressed so far, it seems ludicrous to think that there is even a chance of his leaving permanently so soon after joining.

He was included in the 2024 Serie A Team of the Year after a really promising season with Bologna and seems to have had the same issue as almost every United signing in recent years.

United cannot continue to act like all of these signings are simply bad players and perhaps should identify why so many seem to struggle to recreate their best form at Old Trafford.
