Michael Carrick is one of Manchester United’s most successful midfielders, winning five Premier League titles, three EFL Cups, and the Champions League, among others across 464 appearances.
After retiring, Carrick became an assistant coach under Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjær at Old Trafford, then spent three seasons as the manager of Middlesbrough.
He has now accepted a role back at United as caretaker head coach until the end of the 2025/26 season, following Rúben Amorim’s sacking.
