Manuel Ugarte joined Manchester United from Paris Saint-Germain in August 2024 for an initial fee of £42 million, potentially rising to £51 million with add-ons. The 23-year-old Uruguayan midfielder signed a five-year contract with an option for an additional year. 
Ugarte made his debut on 14 September 2024, coming on as a substitute in a 3–0 victory over Southampton.  Known for his ball-winning abilities, he has since become a key figure in United’s midfield, competing for a starting role alongside Casemiro.
