Six different clubs hold interest in signing Manchester United winger Amad Diallo on loan next season.

Amad, 20, spent last term in the Championship with Sunderland as they finished in the play-offs but fell to defeat against eventual-winners Luton in the semi-final.

The tricky winger quickly became a fan-favourite on Tyneside, scoring 14 goals across the campaign; adding four assists to that.

After initially joining United in the summer of 2020, Amad did not move to Old Trafford until the following January after work permit issues.

Despite producing moments of brilliance in his limited minutes, it was clear Amad needed a loan deal to play consistent minutes.

An unsuccessful six months at Rangers during the second half of 2021/22 was followed up by one of the best spells for a United loanee in years.

Amad spearheaded The Black and White Cats, who had only just returned to the second division, to a promotion charge and would be welcomed back at the Stadium of Light next season.

However, United might be inclined to see the wonderkid tested in the Premier League; whether that be at Old Trafford or elsewhere.

Latest reports from The Northern Echo has named five different clubs interested in bringing Amad on loan next term.

Two of those are Championship clubs – in Sunderland and West Brom – whilst three reside in the top flight. Everton, West Ham and Burnley all hold interest in the former Atalanta wide man.

Prior reports from Dutch outlet 1908.nl have also said that Eredivisie club Feyenoord are interested in the United winger but have yet to approach the English club.

Some believe Amad should remain at Old Trafford next season as Antony is the only winger most comfortable on the right side.

Whether or not he goes back out on loan or not, the wide player needs regular minutes to continue his development next term.

Amad played 42 games for Sunderland, accumulating 3,025 minutes across his time on loan.
