Manchester United will look to build a good run of form as they face Copenhagen in a key Champions League tie away from home on Wednesday evening.

Manchester United currently sit third in the Champions League Group A table, having lost two of their opening three fixtures in the competition against both Bayern Munich and Galatasaray.

It was a disastrous start in the competition for Erik ten Hag. Still, a 1-0 win thanks to a Harry Maguire header and Andrè Onana’s last-minute penalty save against Wednesday’s opposition was the Reds claim their first points in the competition as they look to climb back up and qualify for the knock-out stages.

The United squad have been plagued with injuries, with the latest news still spelling that several players will be out of action for the upcoming fixture against Copenhagen.

Casemiro, who was substituted at half-time against Newcastle last week, will be out for “several weeks” with a hamstring issue, with Ten Hag explaining on Tuesday evening that he fears the midfielder will not play again until January.

On the other hand, Marcus Rashford is fit to play again after being spotted in training. Ten Hag also confirmed that the English winger is available for selection after missing the Fulham tie.

Two of the club’s long-term absentees, Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, will not feature against Copenhagen. Still, Shaw is expected to be back within a few weeks and may be available to play once again when the side face Newcastle on November 26 after the international break.

Malacia has returned to individual training, but a return date for the Dutch international is not yet known.

Amad Diallo was recently spotted in individual training on grass but it is thought to be too soon for him to feature against Copenhagen, while Lisandro Martínez is still expected to be sielined until January. Jadon Sancho remains suspended from the squad for disciplinary reasons.
