Manchester United are set to have a busy summer transfer window in terms of incomings and outgoings for Ruben Amorim’s squad.

Ruben Amorim has faced a tough start to his time at Manchester United, securing just 10 wins in his first 22 matches in charge.

It’s clear that reinforcements are necessary, but the club will have to operate within financial constraints in the upcoming transfer window.

To fund new signings, player sales and departures will be crucial, with several exits anticipated at the end of the season.

There are not many players at Old Trafford who won’t be available for transfer at the right price, including midfielder Mason Mount, who has been linked to Inter Milan in recent days.

Fabrizio Romano rubbishes Mount to Inter rumours

Nearly two years ago, United made the unexpected signing of Mount from Chelsea for approximately £50 million—a deal that left many fans skeptical.

Since then, Mount has struggled to make an impact on the pitch due to persistent injury issues. He has featured 32 times for United but has only started 13 matches for the club.

Reports earlier this week suggested that Inter were interested in the player, but Fabrizio Romano has since rubbished those rumours.

The Italian reporter has explained that Inter are going in a “completely different direction” and that links with Mount are untrue.

Romano clarified that United chiefs want to see Mount back on the pitch under Amorim before assessing his situation in the summer.

Amorim wants to keep “perfect” Mount

Amorim will be hoping to keep Mount at the club and ensure that he stays fit, because the midfielder is one of the few players in the squad who truly fits the head coach’s style of play.

Mount excelled under Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea in a similar system and Amorim highly rates him as a player, previously labelling him as “perfect” for his playstyle.

The only question mark for Mount – and it is a big one – is whether he can finally prove his fitness levels at United.

If he can finally do that, then it would be no surprise to see him finally become an important player for the club under Amorim’s leadership.
