Roberto De Zerbi sends strong INEOS message about the Manchester United job
Roberto De Zerbi has sent a strong message to INEOS about taking the Manchester United job this summer.
Roberto De Zerbi has been linked with a move away from Brighton this summer. The Italian manager is reportedly piquing the interest of Manchester United.
Erik ten Hag‘s future at the club remains undecided. INEOS, who are now in control of all sporting activities at Old Trafford, are reportedly assessing their options ahead of the summer window.

This season has not been a fruitful one at the club, with the team out of the Champions League and sitting sixth in the Premier League table. Their only hope for glory lies in the grasp of the FA Cup.
However, De Zerbi has now told INEOS that he doubts he will be leaving Brighton this summer.
De Zerbi is not leaving
The Italian manager has a contract running until 2026, and speaking in an interview with Bobo TV, he laid down his commitment to Brighton and admitted there is “no team that can change my mind”.
“I love Italy and our football,” he said. “I feel good in England, in the Premier League, and I have no intention of leaving. There is no team that can change my mind, I have made a commitment.
“I like being outside and experiencing the atmosphere of the stadium. Furthermore, in England, I have the opportunity to improve my knowledge of the language and football.”
De Zerbi’s admirers
De Zerbi does have admirers at Old Trafford. UtdDistrict understands that if a managerial change were to occur, he would be the top choice for some in the club.
These same people are not fans of Gareth Southgate, who has also been heavily linked with the job – this does not include those related to INEOS.
Those not in favour of Southgate still back Ten Hag to succeed at United.
