Paris Saint-Germain are once again reigniting their interest in United forward Marcus Rashford following Kylian Mbappé’s announcement that he will leave the French capital this summer.

Rashford, 26, has been in rocky form so far this season for United and has created more headlines for his antics off the pitch, clubbing in Belfast the day before training, then on it.

However, the Englishman has been a regular in Erik ten Hag’s side since the incident, having quickly apologised for his actions, which is a complete contrast to the ostracised Jadon Sancho, whose future at Old Trafford now seems non-existent.

For whatever reason, United’s No.10 has failed to emulate his world-class scoring of last season, which saw him find the back of the net 30 times, and he’s been a visibly frustrated figure both with himself and his teammates, as everyone is aware of how great he can be.

This includes the French champions PSG, it is perhaps one of the biggest open secrets in the footballing world that they are huge admirers of Rashford and they have tried to bring him to the Parc des Princes as recently as last summer.

The Parisian side closely monitored any fallout following Rashford’s night out in Ireland, and now, according to iNewsSport, they are eyeing up the winger as a potential replacement for their superstar, Kylian Mbappé, alongside Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, Barcelona’s Gavi, and Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich.

The report states that the club, which is owned by Qatar Sports Investments, have within the region of £200 million to fill the hole left by Mbappé, and Rashford is on a shortlist of “world-class” talent, which has been deemed a suitable option.

Although the player has not expressed a desire to leave his childhood club, Rashford is a big asset, which would put United in a much healthier position regarding Financial Fair Play breaches as being a product of the academy, any sale would be seen as 100% profit.

The Reds have been shackled by FFP, and because of this, even loan signings were seen as pushing the limits last month in the January transfer window, so the club decided to air with caution and are waiting for arrivals in the summer.

This will be the first transfer window with Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS at the helm of footballing decisions and it could be expected that PSG will be hunting for Rashford’s signature during this time.
