Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly considering a move for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford following the club’s recent statement on the player.

Reports from iNewsSport have stated that the French club are considering rekindling their interest in Rashford this summer, testing the Englishman’s commitment to the Old Trafford club.

It was added that United currently have no plans to let him go despite recent struggles on and off the field. He was absent from United’s FA Cup win against Newport on the weekend after missing training through illness.

However, it was stated by The Athletic that Rashford was out in a nightclub in Belfast the evening before he was due into train and United have since released a statement after a meeting with Rashford and his agent.

“Marcus (Rashford) has taken responsibility for his actions. This has been dealt with as an internal disciplinary matter, which is now closed,” the statement read.

The aforementioned report on the interest from PSG also added that sources close to Rashford are adamant that he is not looking to leave the club.

Rashford signed a long-term deal at United after a stellar campaign last season under Erik ten Hag, where he bagged 30 goals, including one in the Carabao Cup final victory over Newcastle.

The 26-year-old has previously attracted interest from PSG and now it is said that whilst the Ligue 1 club are not making a possible signing of Rashford “top of the agenda”, they are tempted to launch a fresh offer at the end of the season.

Rashford has four goals and six assists so far this season for United and is available to face Wolves on Thursday.
