Manchester United have at least four players returning to Premier League action as they travel to face Wolves with Erik ten Hag and his squad under pressure.

Manchester United returned to football after a two-week break by defeating Newport County 4-2 in the FA Cup, although they made the tie harder than it should have been for themselves.

United last played Wolves on the opening day of the season, where a header from Raphaël Varane saw the club collect all three points at Old Trafford.

André Onana made his full debut for the club in that game and is expected to be back at the club and fit to face Wolves after Cameroon were eliminated from AFCON. Although Altay Bayındır started against Newport, Ten Hag’s reliance on Onana means he will most likely start.

United have two players returning to Premier League action in defence as Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw both returned to action for the first time this year with their appearances against Newport.

Lisandro Martínez is also fit to play, with both Raphaël Varane and Jonny Evans also making an appearance. Victor Lindelöf is back in training after a minor surgery, but his fitness is unknown.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka missed the FA Cup win due to a “precaution”, according to Erik ten Hag, and the Dutchman is expected to give an update on Wan-Bissaka’s fitness in his pre-match press conference.

In midfield, the Premier League will see the return of Casemiro after the midfielder has been missing since the beginning of November after he played his first minutes back in action during the FA Cup fixture.

Mason Mount has been pictured last week working on his recovery, but is yet to make a return to full training, while there are no other major fitness concerns in midfield.

Marcus Rashford is back in the squad to face Wolves after illness/disciplinary action kept him out of the Newport County game, while Rasmus Højlund is picking up form after four goals involvements in his last four appearances.
