Manchester United are looking to climb the Premier League table as they welcome Bournemouth to Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.

Erik ten Hag‘s form in the Premier League has improved of late, with the side winning six of their last eight games in the competition, only losing to Newcastle United and Manchester City in that time.

They most recently defeated Chelsea in a 2-1 win, with Scott McTominay at the heart of the action, scoring both goals at Old Trafford in what was a staple win for Ten Hag’s team.

Next up, they face 15th-placed Bournemouth, with the match officials for the tie having been confirmed by the Premier League.

Confirmed match officials

The referee for the Old Trafford tie will be Peter Bankes. He has yet to referee a Manchester United fixture this season, but he took charge of one league match last term – a 1-0 loss away against West Ham.

On the sidelines will be Eddie Smart and Nick Greenhalgh, who will act as assistant referees for Bankes during the game. The fourth official job has been handed to Anthony Taylor, who will separate Erik ten Hag and Andoni Iraola on Saturday.

The Video Assistant Referee job has been handed to Paul Tierney, who will be assisted by Natalie Aspinall. Tierney was the referee who officiated United’s 3-0 loss against Manchester City in October.
