Omar Berrada’s first day at Man United revealed, Sir Jim Ratcliffe makes telling decision
Omar Berrada’s first day at Manchester United has been revealed as Sir Jim Ratcliffe makes a telling decision.
Berrada was confirmed to become the next chief executive officer at Old Trafford earlier this year.
However, the former Manchester City CFO is currently on his gardening period, and United replaced Richard Arnold with interim CEO Patrick Stewert.
It has since been confirmed that Stewert will be departing the cub, and INEOS Sport CEO Jean-Claude Blanc will be taking over the interim role.
The club have also revealed that Berrada will be joining the club on 13 July, taking over Blanc in the executive role.
“By mutual consent, Patrick Stewart, interim Chief Executive Officer, and Cliff Baty, Chief Financial Officer, have decided to leave the club at the end of the season,” a statement read.

“Patrick will be replaced as CEO by Jean-Claude Blanc until the arrival of Omar Berrada on 13 July. Cliff Baty will be replaced as CFO by Roger Bell.”
Meanwhile, as the club’s statement explains, there will be two INEOS additions at Old Trafford right now. Sir Jim Ratcliffe is not even waiting until July for his own CEO – he’s making moves now.
It is another move that continues to back up the intent that INEOS are claiming to have.
Interestingly, as well, it relates back to the managerial role. INEOS have now hired their own people in almost every important executive role on the football side.
Erik ten Hag is under pressure after a poor season this term, and INEOS’ ruthless movements to get their own men in could be an indicator for Ten Hag’s future.
