Mauricio Pochettino addresses Marc Cucurella’s Chelsea future with Manchester United interested
Mauricio Pochettino has answered a question surrounding the future of Marc Cucurella amid Manchester United’s interest in the Chelsea player.
Manchester United and Erik ten Hag are desperately chasing a new left-back signing after it was confirmed that both Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia will be injured for the next few months.
With both Malacia and Shaw sustaining long-term injuries that have not yet been disclosed by the club, the United squad are light on full-back options.

The club have been heavily targeting Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella as an option to sign on loan, this summer, and are still negotiating with the London club after an initial proposal was rejected.
“I don’t know anything. Maybe you know better than me,” manager Mauricio Pochettino said when asked about Cucurella on Wednesday evening.
“All the players that are involved every day in the training ground who are training with us are in our plans.
“And then, like you know, things happen because it is the decision of both parts, the player and the club, if something happens in the next few days we’ll communicate to you.”
Manchester United have until the transfer deadline at 11 pm BST on Friday 1 September to secure the signing.
