Mason Greenwood’s career “could be saved” after Manchester United overcome hurdle

Manchester United have overcome a significant hurdle with respect to Mason Greenwood and his potential return to Erik ten Hag’s squad.
Mason Greenwood has been banished from the Manchester United squad since January 2022 after photos and videos of him allegedly domestically abusing his partner surfaced on social media.
Despite being arrested and a case built against him, ultimately the Crown Prosecution Service dropped the charges against Greenwood due to a lack of evidence and significant witnesses not coming forward.

Erik ten Hag is said to be reluctant to sell Greenwood, with the Dutchman happy to have him back in the squad, should it be sanctioned by those in charge of the club.
According to The Sun, Mason Greenwood’s career at United “could be saved” after Adidas, who is the club’s main sponsor, approved his return.
It is claimed that secret talks with Adidas are ongoing and have been described as “positive”, which helps United overcome a major hurdle should they choose to bring Greenwood back into the fold.
Previous reports have explained that a significant issue United are facing with regard to Mason Greenwood is that they are worried that if they were to bring him back, it would anger their main sponsors.
However, with reportedly Adidas confirming to the club that they would not be opposed to Greenwood playing at Old Trafford once again, this is likely to no longer be a worry for the club.
