Manchester United handed Marcus Rashford injury concern following 3-3 Porto draw
Marcus Rashford came off at half-time as Manchester United drew 3-3 away against Porto in the Europa League on Thursday evening.
Manchester United somehow managed to recuse a point against Porto on Thursday evening thanks to a late header from Harry Maguire.
The tie started fast. Marcus Rashford opened the scoring before Rasmus Højlund doubled the lead after 20 minutes. Both goals were aided by opposition goalkeeper Diogo Costa.

However, Porto then fought back, scoring two goals in seven minutes. Samu Omorodion and Pepe saw the Portuguese side level the score before 45 minutes, completely turning the mood of the tie on its head.
In the second half, Porto quickly took the lead as a cutback from their right-hand side saw Samu grab his second of the night. The visitors continued to make a complete mess of themselves in defence.
Bruno Fernandes was then sent off for the second game in a row with 15 minutes to play, and following some fantastic stops from André Onana, Maguire then stepped up to nod in a corner from Christian Eriksen to ultimately rescue a point for Ten Hag’s men.
What surprised many was that, despite opening the scoring, Rashford was substituted at half-time, with Alejandro Garnacho coming on to play on the left-hand side for the second half.
The substitution has now caused a significant injury concern, with Rashford potentially joining Kobbie Mainoo on the sidelines, who was not fit enough to join the bench despite travelling to Portugal.
TNT Sports commentators speculated that Rashford’s substitution was due to an injury. However, Ten Hag has since confirmed that he took the English winger off due to rotation as he wants to keep his player fresh.
The impact was certainly felt, as, despite Garnacho’s best efforts, United’s attack seemed to drain in attacking emphasis, with all three forwards replaced by the 70th minute.
Rashford is the club’s joint-top scorer so far this season with four goals and will likely start again as the club travel to face Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.
