Marcus Rashford ‘initially denied’ missing Man United training due to Belfast incident
It has been revealed that Marcus Rashford initially denied missing Manchester United training due to his night out in Belfast.
Marcus Rashford‘s current season at Manchester United has not lived up to expectations for the England international. In contrast to his performances under Erik ten Hag last season, Rashford has struggled to replicate his previous form.
His recent absence from the club’s 4-2 victory over Newport County in the FA Cup fourth round was attributed to illness, but questions have arisen regarding the circumstances of his sickness.

On Friday, it was disclosed that Rashford had been spotted clubbing in Belfast on Thursday night after visiting former United player Roshaun Williams in Ireland. Subsequently, he called in sick for training the following day.
Although it was reported that the club initially thought that Rashford had been out on Wednesday, it was soon confirmed that it was, in fact, Thursday that the player had been out, just hours before he was meant to report to training ahead of the FA Cup tie.
A source said to The Sun: “When it was first suggested Marcus had missed training because he had been out the night before, he denied it.
“It’s amazing that he thought he could go to a club full of people and claim it didn’t happen.
“The manager will feel very let down.”
