Manchester United’s unusual Manuel Ugarte transfer clause has been detailed while an announcement closes in.

The Reds intend to complete their last bits of business for Erik ten Hag’s squad in the final days of the summer transfer market.

Having already brought in Joshua Zirkzee, Matthijs de Ligt, Leny Yoro and Noussair Mazraoui earlier this summer, United are now focused on reinforcing their midfield.

Manuel Ugarte is set to become that player, while various others are expected to leave either on loan or permanent deals.

Ugarte, 23, travelled to England on Tuesday afternoon to undergo a medical with the Premier League club.

This move comes after United agreed on an initial £42 million fee with Paris Saint-Germain for the midfielder, with the possibility of an additional £8 million in add-ons.

Once the transfer is finalised, Ugarte is anticipated to slot into Erik ten Hag’s midfield alongside the promising talent Kobbie Mainoo.

A report from Sky Germany has revealed that PSG have included a 10 per cent sell-on clause in the deal with United.

This is something that the Reds often look to include in deals when they are selling players but it is less expected when they are signing players.

MailSport has reported that an announcement will not be made on Tuesday evening, as there is insufficient time to complete his medical.

Instead, an announcement from the club is more likely on Wednesday evening or early on Thursday.

The Reds face rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon before the September international break.
