Jadon Sancho’s career at Manchester United has so far been one that has received mixed reviews since his £75 million signing in 2021.

Jadon Sancho has so far spent two seasons at Manchester United, with both years riddled with inconsistent starts among bright moments.

Last season, he took a leave of absence under Erik ten Hag during the World Cup break, and although he had a role to play when he rejoined the team, it has been the 2023 pre-season where fans have been most impressed with his performances.

Earlier this window, it was revealed that Borussia Dortmund, his former club, were interested in re-signing the player on loan, with United happy to accept a £45 million fee for the player.

That move never materialised and Sancho has since thrived in a central role on the field, with multiple Premier League sides monitoring his current situation ahead of the new season.

This is according to Caughtoffside, who further explain that one of these sides is the midlands club Aston Villa.

Their report details that Villa are just one of several clubs who have internally discussed the player, which could result in a ‘late transfer dash’ for the player.

Ten Hag is in need of raising cash to fund his remaining transfer target, with Fred and Harry Maguire set to depart for what will fetch above £40m in total.

Donny van de Beek is also in discussions with Real Sociedad after he was deemed surplus to requirements, with Eric Bailly in talks with multiple Saudi Arabian clubs with the view of finding a new team this window.
