Manchester United’s training squad ahead of the Premier League clash against Bournemouth has been revealed with some first-team regulars missing.
It has been a difficult period for Manchester United since returning from the international break, with just one win over the last month.
Of course, that victory was the most important game and it came in an incredible fashion in the 5-4 win over Lyon in the Europa League.
Ruben Amorim’s men do have to improve in the Premier League and their next game is not easy, with Bournemouth being an impressive team this season.
Last time out, the Reds lost against Wolves in a game we’ve seen far too often this season. United missed their chances and were ultimately punished.
A spark needs to be found in the final third, especially to help build some confidence ahead of the Europa League semi-finals against Athletic Club.
Two United players missing from pre-Bournemouth training
United’s club media were in attendance for Amorim’s training session on Wednesday afternoon with the game against the Cherries coming on Sunday afternoon.
Tyler Fredricson had to run the gauntlet after making his debut against Wolves last weekend, while other Academy stars were also involved such as Chido Obi, Jaydan Kamason and Zach Baumann.
Most notably, Dan Gore was training with the first-team as he continues to approach full fitness. The midfielder’s loan at Rotherham was interrupted by another injury issue and it sees unlikely that he appears for them before the season ends.
Meanwhile, there were some regulars missing from the session, with Altay Bayındır not among the group of goalkeepers training separately from the main group. André Onana was joined by Tom Heaton and young duo Elyh Harrison and Dermot Mee, but the Turkish international was not spotted.
In terms of the senior outfield players, Diogo Dalot was not spotted amongst the group. The Portuguese international was rotated out of the lineup against Wolves but came off the bench in the second half.
Their absence from the training session does not necessarily mean they have suffered injuries, but it could be something to listen out for when Amorim addresses the media in his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon.
