Manchester United training squad: Two players return ahead of Barcelona clash
Manchester United have been boosted by the return of Antony and Harry Maguire, who trained with the squad on Wednesday afternoon ahead of facing Barcelona at Old Trafford on Thursday evening.
Maguire was out of action for United’s latest win against Leicester City, whilst Antony has had more of an extended layout for almost three weeks.
Erik ten Hag says that he expects both will be available for the second leg of their Europa League crunch match against Barcelona.
Meanwhile, Anthony Martial remains unavailable – with the manager explaining that he’s waiting for the Frenchman to return to team training. He was training individually with coaches on Wednesday.
Following his pre-match press conference on Wednesday afternoon, Ten Hag took his time to the training field for their last preparations ahead of the game.
The likes of Zidane Iqbal and Kobbie Mainoo were involved, whilst Lisandro Martinez and Marcel Sabitzer also trained after missing out on the first leg through suspension.
Meanwhile, Alejandro Garnacho has made an interesting decision to dye his hair blonde ahead of the fixture.
Robin van Persie was in attendance at Carrington for both the press conference and training. He is said to be interviewing Ten Hag for BT Sport ahead of the European clash.
