Manchester United target ‘given blessing’ to sign for Rúben Amorim this summer, he completes dangerous new-look front three

One Manchester United target who would complete a dangerous new-look front three at Old Trafford has been given the green light to sign for Rúben Amorim’s squad this summer.

Manchester United are looking to bolster Rúben Amorim’s attacking options this summer as they seek to solve their goalscoring problems.

The club have been linked with strikers such as Liam Delap, Victor Osimhen, and Benjamin Šeško. At the same time, a deal for wide forward Matheus Cunha is reportedly close, with United keen to improve their wide options as well as strengthen their central attack.

In Amorim’s system, United play with a central striker and two wide attacking midfielders. With Alejandro Garnacho’s form inconsistent and Christian Eriksen set to leave, reinforcements are becoming increasingly necessary.

The club are looking for versatile forwards who can operate on both wings and bring additional creativity, a responsibility that has largely fallen on Bruno Fernandes in recent games.

Eze given green light for United transfer

With United pondering the idea of signing a third major forward after hopefully securing Cunha and a new striker, they have been linked with a move for Eberechi Eze this summer.

Eze has become a standout figure at Crystal Palace and has been a central force during a successful campaign for Oliver Glasner’s men as they prepare to face Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

According to The Sun, German boss Glanser has now “given his blessing” for the London-based outfit to sell Eze this summer, with United at the forefront of attempts to grab the England international.

Further, the report states that Eze has a £60 million release clause in his contract, making his transfer one without too much complication or negotiation, and that United will face competition from Tottenham should they press on with their interest.

Eze would complete a dangerous new-look attack

One pivotal reason United are looking to land Cunha this summer is that he is already well-acclimatised to playing in a 3-4-3 formation at Wolves on the left flank, the same position he looks set to play under Amorim.

United will likely consider this when signing Eze, as the 26-year-old has been playing in the same formation under Glaser. While he has operated chiefly on the left and through the middle, Eze has also shown himself to be a class act on the right side.

United are looking to land Delap this summer as their new first-choice striker following the player’s fantastic debut campaign in the Premier League. The club sees his £30 million release clause as a bargain, although they face competition from Chelsea for the England U21 international.

If United were to choose to pursue Eze this window alongside securing Cunha and Delap, the trio could well form a dangerous new-look attack under Amorim come the start of the 2025/26 campaign.
