Manchester United have been issued two more potential injury problems following their 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup.

On Wednesday evening, Manchester United secured a spot in the FA Cup quarter-final by overcoming Nottingham Forest, a fellow Premier League team.

Despite a lacklustre performance with numerous missed opportunities, Casemiro made a decisive impact. In the closing moments, his well-executed diving header redirected Bruno Fernandes‘ cross beyond Matt Turner, sealing the victory.

However, there has been a potential disaster sighting for Ten Hag and his reds, after Bruno Fernandes was spotted limping out of the City Ground following the game.

As stated above, Fernandes was already an injury doubt for the FA Cup tie but still played all 90 minutes, and he will have to be assessed ahead of United’s away game against Manchester City on the weekend.

“Forest was targeting him, you saw,” Ten Hag claimed after the end of the game.

“I’m not saying what it [his injury] was, but it was a serious injury. Social media is criticizing him. It’s pathetic. He has a very high pain tolerance threshold.”

Meanwhile, Ten Hag confirmed before the game that central defender Jonny Evans suffers from a problem.

“Jonny Evans is not 100% either, like Saturday, but we have to deal with it and be a little smart to keep them available because we are having difficulties, especially in defence,” the manager stated before the Forest game.

Evans made a brief appearance against Forest, coming on in the closing stages to tie up the final whistle.
