Manchester United squad to face Fulham in FA Cup clash
The Manchester United squad has arrived at Old Trafford ahead of their FA Cup clash against Fulham.
Erik ten Hag’s men are focused on progressing to the semi-finals of the FA Cup, where they’d return to Wembley for the first time since their Carabao Cup win in February.
United have beaten Everton, Reading and West Ham so far in their FA Cup venture – with all games ending in 3-1 wins for The Reds.
This time out, Ten Hag says that his team will need to be at their best to beat a Fulham side that have impressed in their return campaign to the Premier League.
“Fulham is a really good team,” he told club media. “High in the league, very good performances, they play decent football.
“Palhinha is definitely a massive factor in that team in that deep position in midfield. [He] organises very good, links up very good, intercepting a lot of balls, but as I said, the whole team of Fulham is well-structured and we have to play our best football.”
Despite missing out on the most recent Europa League win against Real Betis through illness, Antony returns to the squad for this encounter.
Scott McTominay is also available despite Ten Hag having concerns over his fitness after the last game.
Kobbie Mainoo joins the squad and has the chance to make his third appearance for the first-team. Facundo Pellistri is also ready to play his part in the side again after making his first ever start for the club last time out.
Raphaël Varane, however, is absent from the squad and this means it’s likely that Harry Maguire or Victor Lindelöf line up next to Lisandro Martinez.
