Manchester United are reportedly ready to make a move for a “spectacular” talent from the Serie A ahead of the summer transfer window.

Ruben Amorim has faced challenges in turning around Manchester United’s poor form this season, with his squad struggling to adapt to his system.

A lack of quality options has left the Portuguese manager in a difficult spot, frequently relying on young players to fill the bench.

As the summer transfer window nears, United’s leadership sees it as a key opportunity to bolster the squad and support Amorim with necessary reinforcements.

Reports indicate that the club has already pinpointed several priority areas for improvement once the season concludes.

United hold initial talks over Yildiz

It has been claimed that United are looking for another option to operate in the no.10 roles which Amorim uses in his system, with Amad set to be used as a wingback next term.

According to a report from TeamTALK, the Reds have made initial contact for Juventus’ 19-year-old starlet Kenan Yildiz.

Yildiz, who has made 41 appearances for the Serie A outfit so far this season, is also of interest to the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal.

The report continued that United are ready to make a move for the winger ahead of the summer window, with Juventus only open to selling him if their £75 million valuation is matched.

If United were to secure his signing, Yildiz would be an option to play in those positions behind the striker, with Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero labelling him as “spectacular”.

Yildiz price tag seems a stumbling block for United

It is more than likely that the price tag of Yildiz will become a stumbling block for United in any potential move for the player.

United’s financial situation right now is not a secret to anybody and they need to act smart in the transfer market.

Patrick Dorgu and Ayden Heaven signed for a combined £26.5 million in January and have both seemed to improve the current United squad.

That showcased the way in which the Old Trafford chiefs want to operate in the near future and so any huge signings seem less likely.
