Manchester United ‘pushing’ to complete surprise deal in coming days, reveals Fabrizio Romano
Fabrizio Romano has said that Manchester United are pushing to complete a surprise deal in the coming days.
The Reds have completed two transfers so far this summer, with Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee joining the club.
Yoro, 18, made his unofficial debut against Rangers on Saturday, while Zirkzee will join the squad in America after participating in Euro 2024 with the Netherlands.
The likes of Dan Ashworth and Omar Berrada are clearly keen to keep impressing in the transfer market, and one young talent could be on the move in the coming days.
Chido Obi Martin is one of the most exciting talents in Arsenal’s academy, and he is looking to leave the London club after failing to agree on a scholarship deal.
Academy Scoop broke the story which detailed that Obi Martin had visited Carrington to discuss a move to United this summer.
It has further been reported by the likes of David Ornstein and Fabrizio Romano, with the MEN claiming that United are hopeful of completing a deal for the 16-year-old.
Obi Martin scored 32 goals for Arsenal U18s in just 18 games last term. He scored hat-tricks in six different games, with seven goals in a single fixture against Norwich.
Fabrizio Romano has since revealed that the Reds are ‘pushing’ to complete a deal soon, with the player set to make his decision within the coming days.
“Manchester United want to close the Chido Obi Martin deal and are pushing to get it sealed as soon as possible,” the journalist wrote in his Daily Briefing.
“Chido is expected to make his final decision in the next hours/days after visiting several clubs in the UK and Germany – it’s considered imminent.”
