Manchester United predicted XI to face Liverpool (Premier League)
Manchester United finally return to Premier League action, against Liverpool, after three successive cup games.
Next up for Erik ten Hag‘s Manchester United side is a trip to arch-rivals Liverpool. A heavily rotated team booked their place in the FA Cup Quarter Finals on Wednesday night after coming from a goal behind to beat West Ham 3-1.
The likes of Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Scott McTominay all started on Wednesday but their place in the starting XI is likely to be short-lived.
Despite securing the win against West Ham, The Reds looked like a team who were missing their spine and the introduction of Casemiro, Marcus Rashford, and Lisandro Martinez eventually swung the tie in United’s favour.
Diogo Dalot was selected ahead of the in-form Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The Portuguese right-back has struggled for form since returning from the World Cup due to Wan-Bissaka seizing his opportunity with both hands.

For the trip to Anfield, it’s likely that we’ll see an entirely different back four with Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Martinez and Luke Shaw all returning to the fold.
Casemiro’s selection in midfield goes without saying, as does his seemingly ever-present midfield partner, Bruno Fernandes.
Marcel Sabitzer impressed against West Ham but Fred can do no wrong as of late. It’s a safe bet to have the energetic Brazilian in the line-up on Sunday – especially after his goal in the final minutes on Wednesday.
Antony and Wout Weghorst are Ten Hag’s trusted forwards and both are favourites to play from the start against Liverpool.
Alejandro Garnacho could count himself unfortunate to be left out after his match-winning display against West Ham but Marcus Rashford is a shoo-in on the left of United’s attack.
There is of course the possibility Rashford and Garnacho start but Weghorst’s work off the ball could prove crucial against a Liverpool team who have struggled against pressing teams this season.
