Manchester United must sign “quality” Premier League star who “turns up every week”, says Roy Keane
Roy Keane has advised Erik ten Hag to sign Premier League midfielder Douglas Louiz due to his ability to “turn up every week”.
Manchester United‘s midfield has been a talking point throughout much of this campaign, with Erik ten Hag unable to select a number of players due to consistent injuries and performances.
Casemiro, Mason Mount, and Christian Eriksen have all gone through spells on the sidelines in recent months, with Ten Hag selecting Scott McTominay for seven of the club’s last ten games as a consequence.

United are targeting a No. 8 for the upcoming window amid uncertainty surrounding the futures of Eriksen, McTominay, and Casemiro, with Roy Keane suggesting that the club should look at Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz.
Speaking on Stick to Football, he said: “He turns up every week this player. Never seems to be injured. Quality player. I like him.
“I think he was linked with Arsenal last year. There are no surprises there, with some of the Villa players, you think they can certainly go on to play for a Man United, Arsenal or even Man City, you look at Watkins.”
He added: “But I like Luiz. He is consistent. Turns up week in and week out. You know what you are going to get from him. I like a lot about him. Probably lacks that real pace, maybe.
“In terms of his decision-making and looking after the ball. Very, very good.”
